Is Invisalign Right for You?
Before beginning your treatment, you and our dentist together will choose a plan that properly suits your needs. As Invisalign is not recommended for everyone, our dentist must first conduct an oral evaluation to see if you are eligible for this treatment.
Structuring the Right Plan for Your Teeth
In case you are qualified for Invisalign, our dentist will begin customizing a plan for you. Our dentist will create comprehensive 3D digital images of your teeth to show your current condition and what you can expect Invisalign to correct. Another alternative to using the 3D images are dental impressions. The images from the iTero digital scanning system will give you virtual results by showing you the exact movements your teeth need to make, along with the expected treatment outcome.
As mentioned earlier, Invisalign are a set of transparent aligners. They are made of a BPA-free, SmartTrack material, meaning the aligners do not contain the toxins many plastic components carry. These aligners can be removed easily, making it extremely convenient to brush and floss your teeth as you normally would.
Monitoring Your Progress
Although Invisalign aligners are removable, our dentist will recommend wearing them most of day and night. Additionally, your Invisalign aligners will be replaced by our dentist throughout the treatment. Our staff will schedule these appointments to monitor your progress and make any necessary changes.
Our dentist will provide you with useful instructions and recommendations on how to clean and take proper care of your aligners. After eating, be sure to brush your teeth, along with the aligners, before inserting them. This will reduce possibilities for bacteria to grow. After you have completed your Invisalign treatment, and depending on your specific case, our dentist will most likely recommend wearing a retainer. Wearing a retainer is highly recommended as it will secure the stability of your teeth and their new position.
Credit and Payment
Please check with your insurance provider to see if Invisalign is fully or partially covered. In addition, our office offers several credit options for the Invisalign procedure. You may also apply for CareCredit and see if you qualify for a line of credit that will allow you to obtain flexible payment options.
